We met in Chapel Hill, where Joe was in graduate school at UNC & Sara was working for her Uncle Ken and Aunt Libby on their farm, Maple Spring Gardens. Sara managed to get Joe to eat beets one day. Kale followed. What started as a strictly vegetable affair became something much greater. Through a series of sudden life-changing decisions, we now find ourselves in Alabama & spending a great deal of our time with our hands in the dirt. Our rapidly expanding entourage now includes a mouser, Salvador, a pig, Buddy, and various poultry companions with names like Heathcliff, Edgar, & Henrietta.
